cardiac podcasts and INR

I'm considering turning this blog into a med resident support site...week 2 has started so im over the initial franic period (freak out + panic). So much i need to learn, and revise, and do! at least we get paid for over time..i think, i need to work on my note taking skills, as well as admissions and proper discharges..which are sort of difficult when your patients keep changing.

ALSO it would have helped if some would have told me earlier to not use a blue pen and that they preferred black in the files for scanning reasons.

A day off for Australia day yay! but i was hoping to have a picnic type lunch or bbq outdoors with family, instead im multitasking between tidying up the flat (hast been done since i moved in) and finish off unpacking (still have sealed cardboard boxes around, and 2 semi full suitcases) and a bunch of open half empty boxes...ALSO my priority is for studying, i need to cover some essential topics, ie warfarrin doses and INR's, and some table about that, i need to find that information so i can use it, thats the practical info, also the theory stuff like heart murmurs, i think those two ill start off with, also want to find an ideal admission template, thats very complete and unsummarized. also i need to organize the pager numbers to stick onto my security thingee so i stop calling switch everytime i need to call radiology or whatever..

and these are some amazing podcasts on cardiac murmurs that i will at some point try to make into a cd to listen to on my 20 min drives to work every morning...oh yeah my itunes made audio cd's dont work in my car..damn one more thing to figure out! np it can be solved!
